चंद लम्हों का मुलाकात दिल में भटकता कहीं
कश्मीर का प्यारा बंदा, हवाई अड्डे पर मिला
हमने लगेज दिया.. उसने लोडिंग किया..
गलती से उसके उंगली पर एक खरोंच आ गयी
कदम बढ़ गये मगर बैनडेईड-खोज शुरू हुई
कश्मीर की वादियों में कही काम न आ पाया
अब उसके पास जाने को बैनडेइड मचल गया
अप्रत्याशित मदद देख एक पल को उलझ गया वो
जाने वाली मुसाफिर पलट के आ गई जो
उसके बाद क्या... मैं चल दी.. मेरे अपनों के पास जो बोर्डिंग का इंतजार कर रहे थें.. सहेली भी थी.. उसको बताकर अलग सा मेहसूस होना शुरू भी न हुया...मेरा लोडर अपना काम छोड़ अपने एक दोस्त को लिये
हमारे सामने से गुज़र रहा था... मैने अपनी सहेली को और उसने अपने दस्त को इशारों से समझा दिया कि ये वही है!
वो मुस्कराते हुए गया.. कुछ अल्फाज़ बह रहे थे शुक्रिया के..
अदा इस तरह किया कि आज तक न भूली
और शायद वो भी न भुला
अपने अजनबी को..

Co-worker or friend
His 'Sole' is diminishing
No cobbler to mend...
Now that I speak,
I'll fight for his case
Put forward a petition..
'Shoes too!!...
Need their own little Space!'

I am writing a letter to you..
I won't be there when you'll get in that shape..
Mom and dad won't be there for you..
Your children will be busy earning bread and taking responsibility of the family..
Your fellow friends and loved ones would be near or far..
Or might not be there..
And all you crave for is anyone giving you their precious time
Just like your grandmother or grandfather craved...
And 'that time' from anyone becomes rare and more valuable than currency..
Dear Old Me, I am not trying to frighten you,
Since, you'll have more time than me, more thoughts and memories and emotions than me, more experience than me,
One thing I am investing on, which would stay with you till you die,
Is befriending the Pen & the Diary...
