DNA's code is like Ganga's unbroken flow at Varanasi's ghats but RNA resembles the diyas floating on Ganga's evening waters. Sometimes I think about how RNA blooms, does it's work then fades like shadows at dusk but DNA stays anchored like the sturdy roots of a banyan tree. There's a certain sadness in knowing things don't feel anchored all the time; here today, altered tomorrow, sensitive to life's ups and downs. Thymine in DNA is cocooned with a tiny methyl shawl that provides extra stability to its structure. But Uracil in RNA lacks this adornment. It stands bare as winter's breath. Thymine's methyl group feels like a symbol of stability I sometimes wish for but Uracil's simplicity reminds me that life's unpredictability is just part of the journey. Perhaps this is how humans move coping with life's complexities. Things don't always feel as solid as DNA's quiet strength. It bends, adapts but can break like morning mist. Maybe it's okay to acknowledge this fluidity which lets me connect biology's rhythm to my own tender journey.
