My phone went dead
As I stopped recharging it.-
1. I am a safe haven of secrets
2. Mostly, I've the bad habit of using 'I' before others.-
WANNA HEAR ME AGAIN?
SPINE CHILL
A spine-chill is all we need in the winters,
Either with a book in one hand
And coffee in the other;
Or in comfy pajamas
Under the blankets
Watching all time favourites
On a big screen with her beside you
With espresso in one hand
And her cold hand in the other.
It's good to see her big round eyes wide open
Staring back all at you.
It's good to feel the silence all around you.
It's better to see even her bony figure
Until the stink of rotten meat arises
And her soft hand now melts
Leaving back the scattered meat on your hand
Making you feel all the more weird.
The voices outside talk
And only talk
About you and your deeds
They call you 'gruesome, psycho'
But 'are you really so?'
'No...I just struck a knife accidentally.'-
1. Life is unexpected
2. It is also full of surprises
3. It is all giving-
Heart says,
"Never bear the insults all alone,
Throw them back at those who throw at you.
Let them know how it feels like
To be demeaned."
But brain says,
"Let Karma do everything for you."
-
Life could slap you any moment,
So, beware of your follies!
Caring and loving is a sort of foolishness
In this world.-
Sweep 'em off their wicked feet
With your confidence and strength.
Chase 'em in their dreams
With your valour and self-faith.-
Thread once torn
Can't be joined.
Similarly, childhood once taken away
Can't be brought back.
A father once faked
Can't be erased
From his memory.
Only the li'l child pondered...
"What's it like to be loved
By a true father?"
By true father, I don't mean
He has to be a biological one,
But a father in true sense!-
Diwali reminds me of nothing
But the victory of good over evil.
It also takes me back to the time
When I was surrounded in the darkness
Of the pseudo-parent
Who is long gone now
But it's for him that I came to know
All about the art of treachery.
And that's how I walked back
Into the path of light again.-
