Clothes without seams,
Books without pages
And Embroidery without thread.

Tighten the screws, and fasten the bolts.
Shut the windows and bar the doors.
Eyes sharp, ears sharper, hands on deck
The Dictator of Souls is here.

Jaw set, moustache quivering, barking orders
a soft tup-tup from the staff while
inspecting, correcting, supervising, directing
The Dictator of Souls is here.

"Defend, defend", to fall is fate
worse than Death, worse than torture
you are not anymore, you are only to follow
The Dictator of Souls is here.

One by one legs buckle, bodies collapse
Sygils fly but no one to hold.
He has won, he smiles with teeth glinting.
Beware, beware young and old alike.
The Dictator of Souls is here.

I enter a room, eyes avert
Everyone is trying not to look
At the shadow that follows me
Wherever I go.

Friend, you cared for me.
Cared for me unconditionally.
My dreams, hopes, work;
all important to you

Friend, you listened to me.
Listened to me patiently.
My monologues, my drama, my vents;
and returned them with hugs.

Friend, you have taught me.
Taught me well.
How much someone can hurt
before they break.

Old friend, we don't talk anymore.
You don't want to.
I long for your voice again,
but perhaps it is best.

I slip into the void
That is so tempting
I may have drawn blood
To welcome it.

I care as a moth cares
for the flame; Eternally
drawn to. Burning
me to
ashes.

Hey, the app is great but the quality of poetry on this app is awful. Not to sound snobbish but most people here sound more pretentious than anything. I don't know what you vision you had in mind when you started this but trying to find a good poem, forget a poet, is, for the lack of a better metaphor, looking for a needle in a haystack.

I can hear your heart beat against my ear
Does your beauty lie in your fragility?
The sparrow in my palm fits tight.
A light squeeze and...

He dreamt too much. They ate away his soul.

The moon plays hide and seek with the stars in her hair.
Her face glows in the moonlight as she turns to me and laughs
