ತುಂತುರು ಮಳೆಯ ಕಾಲ
ಚುಮುಚುಮು ಚಳಿಯ ಕಾಲ
ಗಿಡಮರ ಚಿಗುರುವ ಕಾಲ
ಬೆಚ್ಚನೆಯ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲ
ಆದರೀಗ ಕಲಿಗಾಲ
ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಕ
ಕಿವಿ ತಮಟೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವ ಶಬ್ಧ
ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಬೈಲು
ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ ಕಥೆಯಿಲ್ಲ
ಹುಚ್ಚನ ರೀತಿ ಸ್ವಗತ
ಕಿಲಕಿಲನೆ ನಗುತ
ಓಡುತಿಹನು ತಿರುಕನಂತೆ
ಈಗಿಲ್ಲ ಪವಿತ್ರ ದರ್ಶನ
ಹಾರಿಕೆಯ ಉತ್ತರ
ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಗಿಲ್ಲ ಬೆಲೆ
ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ ಸೂರಜರಂತೆ
ಮೌಲ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಜೀವನ
ಕಾಮ ತೃಷೆ ತೀರಿಸಲು
ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನೇ ಪಣಕ್ಕಿಟ್ಟು
ಸಾಗಿರಲು ಈ ಜೀವನ
ಏನಾಗಿದೆ ಈ ಕಾಲಕೆ
ಬೆಲೆಯಿಲ್ಲ ನಿನಗೆ
ಹಣವಿದ್ದರೆ ಬಾಯ್ಬಿಡುವುದು ಹೆಣ
ತೀರಿಸಲಾಗದು ತಾಯಿಯ ಋಣ

ವಿದ್ಯೆ ಕಲಿಸದ ಗುರು
ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳದ ತಂದೆ
ಬಿದ್ದಿರಲು ಬಂದು ನೋಡದ ತಾಯಿ
ಶುದ್ದ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದೆ ಅಂದು
ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಮುದ್ದು ಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿ
ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ತಿದ್ದಿ ತೀಡಿ
ಯೌವನದ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದಾಗ
ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಕಾರಣ
ಮನ, ಮನೆಯನ್ನೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟು
ಹೋದಾಗ
ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ
ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ.........
