The reality of life is that you may be capable of being alone and you can be complete with yourself. But the feeling of completion and happiness only comes when you have a special someone with you, who wants to hold your hand, pat your shoulder and see a future with you.
Being independent isn't being devoid of partnership.....being independent is being aware of your needs and capable of fulfilling them, making the right compromises and taking the necessary steps.

He entered the house and hung his overcoat on the wall hanger. He lit a cigarette and sat on the rocking chair.
Calling for some tea, he rested his back on the chair and closed his eyes, taking a long drag and puffing it almost immediately. As usual it was supposed to make him feel lighter but instead he felt a feather like touch on his face and her waist around his belly, he opened his eyes to see her sitting on him putting her legs across the right arm of the chair.
She kissed him on the lips and took his fingers closer to her lips and took a drag . She puffed the smoke away from his face and bit his ear, he screeched with pain and pulled her waist closer and bit her shoulder, bit it hard..the marks of his teeth marked a circular territory on it, then he kissed her right their, sucked every bit of the territory till it was red, she whispered into his ear, "I like it on the neck, on my chest and on my.." before she could complete .....
