I was waiting recklessly
The call went long and before hanging up he just said,

I was numb,

In the ensuing darkness, I was tossing and turning in my bed, to catch wink which was suspended by the consisted of a pitter-patter of rain. I had turned insomniac, so I went to the window of my room.
The rainwater splashed on my face as I opened the window escorted by a calm breeze providing refreshment to my soul.
I was lost to the moment.
