वहां कहां किसी और पैमाने की ज़रूरत है।बाकी सभी पैमाने हैं ज़माने में अब बेमानी,
हमारी ज़रूरतें ही जवाब तय हैं करतीं।

मन की डायरी में छिपे हैं कयी गहरे राज़,
जिन्हें लोग करते रहे हैं लगातार नज़रंदाज़,
एहसासों के पुलिंदे छिपे हैं उन‌ पन्नों में महफूज,
कि शायद इक दिन उनके भी दिन आएंगे ज़रूर।

इज़हार करके देखो तो हर एहसास रंग लाएगा,
दबाकर रखोगे तो हर सपना पहुंच से दूर नज़र आएगा।

ज़िन्दगी का पहाड़ भी अजीब ही है,
जितना चढ़ो उतना दुर्गम नजर आता है,
नीचे देखते हैं तो इक पराक्रम नजर आता है,
देखो ऊपर की ओर तो पहुंच से बाहर नजर आता है।

Longing is but an extension of desires unfulfilled,
In our effort to feel content and fulfilled,
Irrespective of the peace of mind that gets killed.

One health advice I would like to hear is mental,
When multitudes are suffering indifferential,
For them Tomorrow seems quite far away,
As the present continues to firmly hold sway,
Over their heads and distant horizon,
With An unending layer of cloud peppered,
With uncertainty of events to unfold,
Wondering what the future will behold.

मुहब्बत की खुशी और जुदाई का ग़म,
यही हैं ख्वाहिशों की सलोनी सरगम,
वफ़ा, बेवफा यह सभी हैं दौर ज़िन्दगी के,
चुनना हर किसी को है अपना ही हमदम,
हो सकता है कि हकीकत ख्वाहिशों से नहीं मेल खाती,
पर कुदरत भी मखमली ज़िन्दगी की नहीं है देती।

थोड़ा ठहराव भी ज़रूरी है इस ज़िन्दगी में,
जहां हम सब मशरूफ हैं ख्वाहिशें संवारने में,
ख्वाहिशें खुद अपने आप में आखिर नहीं हैं,
निज़ाम ए खुदा है, आखिर मिट्टी के ही दायरे में।

Close friends are often those who may not be close by,
But are there when you need them to be beside,
Whether physically or with you emotionally,
Despite the distance but still there unconditionally.
