The expectation to find fairness in a system run by humans is equivalent to finding water on Mars. There are historical references and a constant search but realistically one will never find and even if we do, it would be miniscule traces.

What makes you a better human is what you do and how you act after that brief moment of vulnerability passes by. Perfection in life is not by having no chink in your armour, but going into battles despite having them....
