জীবন যুদ্ধে যেই সব জিনিস থেকে আমরা নিজেদের দূরে সরিয়ে নি শেষ প্রযন্ত ঠিক সেই সব জিনিস গুলোই আমাদের আঁশটে পিশটে বেঁধে নেয়।।

এসেছিলে তুমি নিয়ে এক মুঠো জীবন,
আজ আমি শূন্যের পথিক, নিয়ে ভিজে নয়ন।।

বৃষ্টির ফোঁটা এলো জানলার কাছে,
নিতে অশ্রুর খবর, বলল "মন কেমন আছে?"
আনমনা তাকে দেখে সে বসলো এসে কাছে,
জিজ্ঞেস করলো " কি তফাৎ আমার আর তোমার মধ্যে?
অশ্রু বললো :
যেমন ,যখন মেঘ ভারী হয় তখন সে তোমার ঝরিয়ে হালকা হয় ঠিক তেমনই যখন মন ভারী হয় তখন নয়ন আমায় ঝরিয়ে মনকে হালকা করে।
আর যখন দুটোই একসাথে ভারী হয় তখন তোমার আর আমার মধ্যে কোনো পার্থক্য থাকে না।।
