I lay beneath the
hidden layers, waiting
for love to drizzle
and moisten the lands.
I want to peep through
those layers and sprout
where I belong.-
Eid wasn't the same this year. I don't know if the festivities will ever be the same again. These are difficult times and they have been rough on all of us some way or another.
Today all I want to do is thank each and everyone of you for being strong, for staying there for each other, for standing up when all you felt was a tingling numbness travelling your feet.
I also want to thank you for the days you had a breakdown and cried your heart out, when you felt shattered and yet embraced that self gracefully.
We might not know each other, but let me tell you that you all are doing so well.
Just hang in there, we are witnessing the worse together and together we will witness the better days. When they knock your door make sure to remind yourself that you were the one who grabbed onto all the strength you had to fight for and with your loved ones, did every possible thing to make sure you see these better tomorrows.

You say that
I am pure.
I believe you
because you
were the only
toxin in my life.-
