The Sun and the Moon share an affection
that is beyond the love for possession.

While one burns and gazes from a distance,
the other blushes under its brilliance.

She flew in skies with dreams unchained.
She was flawless to everyone around.
Her mighty wings were unbound.

One day, she was told to leave the skies
and abandon her familiar paradise.
She was lost in knots of right and wrong,
lost in a world where she did not belong.

Until one day, she learned the courage
and refused to stay a lifelong hostage.
She fluttered back to her blue expanse
for that was her one and only chance.

The wind that embraces the flowers
carries only fragrance in its layers.
It exudes fragrance wherever it goes.
It spreads mirth whenever it flows.

The air that touches barren lands
has nothing to share but parched sands.
It leaves melancholy in its course.
It creates a spell of lingering remorse.

We are like the wind and resonate
what we hold inside, love, pride or hate.
A pure heart shows in pleasing presence,
and kind words come from affable influence.

The world was a beautiful place
of happiness filled days,
when the dreams were endless
and our skies were limitless,
when we smiled more often
and were allowed to live in illusion.

Someone who has spent a lifetime
living in darkness of the night,
is blinded every single time
and cannot appreciate your light.

One may listen to every sermon or preaching
and may read every possible teaching,
but what is the purpose of everything
if one cannot be kind and loving?

In the end, all we seek is assurance
of love, backing and presence.

Only person who could be all
through the rise and downfall,
is you yourself all the way.
Be your own constant every day.

They judge my appearance
and impose their opinions.
They choose to criticize
my body for its size.
Unaware of my half moon scar
they find my fat bizarre.

But what they see is a version
that created a tiny human.
It survived the unimaginable
almost like a miracle.
I embrace my frame for what it is,
for its courage and its sacrifices.
