Slurpy and gooey,
Stubborn,
Yet gullible,
Like the half-chewed chunk of a candy..
Escaping from his tiny fist,
The more he tries to catch,
The faster it slips!
He frowns,
Stumps..
Pauses,
Then moves on to grab the crayon,
His newest fascination..
His eyes brighten,
He breaks into a giggle,

The moment,
Pure and innocent,
Urges "her" to stop,
To relax her shoulders,
To unclench her jaws,
To take a fresh long breath,
To look up from the heap of unfinished duties,
And to blush in pinkish shade of happiness!

December smells like,
Hot chocolate and vanilla..

The memories of the year,
The lessons and the fears,
The highs and the lows,
The ebbs and the flows,
The warmth of glory,
And the chills of gory..

December tastes like,
A bitter-sweet enigma!

The prism,
Sitting at the dark end of a clumsy table,
Reigning paper sheets with hasty scribbles,
A dreamy child's fancy possession,
Caught in mediocrity, lost in oblivion.

The owner of the dreams, the keeper of memories,
Prisoned in monochrome of bland pleasantries,
Struggling to focus, she pushes the window,
Unaware, she lets in that splendid glow!
Sheepishly gushing in, that ray of gold,
Touches the prism, and the magic beholds!
The refracting spectrum of rainbow nuance,
Paints her heart with child like vibrance!

Prism is nothing but the angles and the stance,
Life is nothing but what we chose and how we glance!

Raindrops pattering on window pane,
The occasional wet gust blows by!
The sun peeps through the dark clouds,
The earth smiles at the azure sky!

With the dark grey clouds, the lush green flora,
The swaying of 'Kashtandi' in a royal aura,
Showring glory of a fresh begin,
The tropical autumn takes first step in!

I wonder,
If the days were personas,
Wouldn't mundane 'Monday' ,
Be more consistent
Than the frivolous 'Friday'?

A swan in a lake of pink.
Amongst the crowd, they stood dauntless.
The dozen white lilies,
They call them the 'odd ones.'
Odd?
No,
Not odd.
Just splendid, unique,
The slow dancing swan swaying among the waves in the wind.
They are the striking ones.
The ones that never fit in!

Don't stop the dreams,
In sleep or waking,
Let them sway!
Breathe,
Grow wings and break the cage,
Let time behold!
Don't hide the spark,
Give a push,
Let it intimidate!
Live,
Hold on to them,
That hope, that fire,
It makes you, 'you'!

Like that wild flower,
Vibrant and strong,
An unmatched beauty,
An untamed force,
You sway in elegance,
You pour in abundance!
Oh July!
You are so much more than a month,
Quenching the earth,
Slaying the dearth,
You smell of life,
Of courage and growth,
Giving hope another birth!

That we held hands..
And locked eyes..
Peeping into our souls..
We found it together,
Breathing in each-other,
Beating for one another,
It was July that year,
That it rained like never before,
And it mended us forever!
