"Are you really real?" he asked, then started laughing loudly.
But she didn't.

First date

That white shirt and blue jeans guy waved at me from the opposite side.
I still remember the day we met for the first time—
a rainy afternoon, a flooded road, but a sunny smile and spring butterflies.

Indeed, it was our first meeting and date,
yet I felt like I had known you for ages.
You looked at me with so many questions in your eyes—
maybe I knew why.

We shared our thoughts and laughed until our stomachs ached.
You even noticed my cold, shivering hands.
When you touched them, I felt nervous.
You slowly whispered in my ear, “Calm down,”
and kissed me on my left cheek.

Then you rested your head on my shoulder.
I leaned mine too, and our hearts talked for hours.
I wanted to talk more, to admire you even more,
but as time was ticking, you let go of my hands.

I wish our time together hadn’t ended so soon.
Until then, August will remain the month I treasure the most.
And I will forever cherish the beautiful mistake I once made.

शब्दो के खेल

ख़याली दुनिया में शब्दों का कोई मोल नहीं।
बहुत भारी होते हैं वो शब्द जो कहे नहीं जाते।
मन के किसी कोने में दबा सा रह जाता है,
तकि वो राज किसी को पता न चले।

झूट की लिपाई में शब्द दबाये जाते हैं, बोल नहीं।
बहुत मीठे होते हैं वो बोल जो भावुक मन के साथी नहीं होते।
अक्सर उन्हें बहुत कारीगरी से सजाया जाता है,
तकी उन अर्थ को कोई सुलझा न सके।

आँखों के तराज़ू में शब्दों का कोई तोल नहीं।
बहुत कीमती होते हैं वो लोग जो बनावटी नहीं होते।
हर शब्द उनके पहचान में आ जाता है,
तकी इस बार इन आंखों को छुपाना न परे।

Silent chaos of ocean

Hearts are deeper than the ocean,
No one can ever know the secret it's hiding.
It contains great calmness in its core,
Rough from surface, forbidden to touch or see,
All the mysteries are safe there,
The harsh truth remains silent forever,
When the mind wants to express,
But the waves of the heart pull it back.
Silence is the purest form of peace.
Who knows what silence really is!
Yes it's not easy to remain mysterious,
Even the ocean knows it's the darkness that hurts the most.
It hides the chaos created by waves
Deep down, the heart knows why the waves scream so loud.
No one wants to know the chaotic parts of it.
Everyone loves the ocean when it is at peace.

थोड़ा रुक तो सकते थे?
यही तो पूछना था,
तुमने कुछ कहा नहीं
पर मुझे तो सुनना था।
तुमने चुप रहना चुना,
मैंने भी पूछा नहीं
शायद मंज़िल अलग हैं हमारी,
यह तो पहले बताया नहीं।
जो धागा टूट गया,
उसे मैंने जोड़ा नहीं,
तुम भी जोड़ सकते थे,
लेकिन तुमने किया नहीं।
थोड़ा रुक तो सकते थे?
यही तो पूछना था,
तुमने कुछ कहा नहीं
पर मुझे तो सुनना था,
जो कुछ भी मैंने कहा तुमसे,
तुमने कभी गौर किया नहीं।
बस इसी बात का तो अफ़सोस हैं
की तुमने समझा भी नहीं,
हर सवाल का जवाब मिले,
यह जरूरी तो नहीं,
पर जो अधूरा छोड़ गए
दुबारा मुड़ कर देखा भी तो नहीं।
थोड़ा और रुक तो सकते थे?
यही तो पूछना था,
तुमने कुछ भी कहा नहीं
पर मुझे ज़रूर जानना था।
