थोड़ा रुक तो सकते थे?
यही तो पूछना था,
तुमने कुछ कहा नहीं
पर मुझे तो सुनना था।
तुमने चुप रहना चुना,
मैंने भी पूछा नहीं
शायद मंज़िल अलग हैं हमारी,
यह तो पहले बताया नहीं।
जो धागा टूट गया,
उसे मैंने जोड़ा नहीं,
तुम भी जोड़ सकते थे,
लेकिन तुमने किया नहीं।
थोड़ा रुक तो सकते थे?
यही तो पूछना था,
तुमने कुछ कहा नहीं
पर मुझे तो सुनना था,
जो कुछ भी मैंने कहा तुमसे,
तुमने कभी गौर किया नहीं।
बस इसी बात का तो अफ़सोस हैं
की तुमने समझा भी नहीं,
हर सवाल का जवाब मिले,
यह जरूरी तो नहीं,
पर जो अधूरा छोड़ गए
दुबारा मुड़ कर देखा भी तो नहीं।
थोड़ा और रुक तो सकते थे?
यही तो पूछना था,
तुमने कुछ भी कहा नहीं
पर मुझे ज़रूर जानना था।

कभी कुछ ना करना भी बहुत कुछ करना होता हैं।

पर सन्नाटे ने चुप करा दिया।

सवाल भी खुद से किया,
जिसका जवाब पता था,
सच तो तुमसे सुनना था,
पर तुमने कुछ कहा क्या?

अब तो कहनी का रुख मोड़ गया,
जो कभी पहले हुआ करता था,
सब कुछ ठीक तो था ,
पर अब बहुत हो गया।

बहुत कुछ दिया और लिया,
बस यही बताना था,
एक धागा जो जुड़ा सा था,
आज वो भी छुड़ा लिया।
