Graveyards!

I went on a routine field visit today. Most of the homes I visited, there were stone erected in close vicinity of the house. On asking, I was told they were graveyards - some of ancestors and some who died recently. I was shocked for I have always seen the fear from the dead since my childhood. I was told stories on how tribal communities share so much attachment to the dead who are close ones and keep them in their close vicinity of the house as their protector. The graves of children are below trees who have gums looking like milk, hence, could be fed even after their death. So much thought for the dead. On the other side, I have heard numerous stories of Dayan Hatya and the evil spirits in these communities. The intense hatred towards the ghost of 'others' and love for the 'ours'. Isn't this the problem we all have?!

समझना मुश्किल है मेरे लिए

इनसे प्यार या नफरत करूं?

अपनी हैं,
कब का छोड़ दिया होता
जो इनसे इतना गहरा रिश्ता ना होता!

मैंने ख्यालों में डूब खुद को खो दिया
तुम्हे पाने की चाहत में खुद को खोजा

मेरे जज्बात मेरे अधीन नही थे
वो नामुमकिन में मुमकिन धूंड रहे थे

मैंने भी सोचना शुरू कर दिया था
हर फैसले सोच समझ कर लेना

भावनात्मक पहलुओं को नजरंदाज करना

तुमने झूठ भी नहीं बोला
मैं सच खोज नही पाया

तुम तब भी नहीं थी, आज भी नहीं हो
मैं ना जाने किसे ढूढ़ रहा था।

I think of a day when I will be able to make more impact with words than my action. I have been listening otherwise all along! Ideas are very powerful. The more I try to understand the world around me the more I belive in the power of ideas. The way they shape us, our lives, and almost everything around us.

Lets say you met a person and S/he is extraordinary funny and makes you feel comfortable. You want this person in your life. To add as someone you reach to when you want to create happiness.

Does that mean you can have a connection with this someone? A connection of making a future or maybe create intimacy.

Maybe, maybe not!

Romantic relationships are not the only relationships we share in our lives, where we have so much of joy. What is more important is to have the clarity over what a relationship is about. To understand its boundaries and appreciate its beauty from time to time!

Sometimes I fear, or my mind makes the body shiver and the heart pound. Don't they all want our good, us to be happy.

It is most of the times not the fear to fail but the thought that how bright it will be, when I shine!

आओ चलो जिंदगी से लड़ के देखते हैं,
थोडा गिरते हैं और गिर कर ही सम्हलते हैं.
ऊँचे ऊँचे ख्वाब भी देखेंगे,
उन ख्वाबों का हिसाब भी सोचेंगे.

कहीं वक़्त जाया तो नही हो रहा,
छोटी सी जिंदगी में आया तू, रो नही रहा!
तूने रोया नही तो जिंदगी अभी देखी नही,
कभी वक़्त तेजी से भागता नजर आया नही तो ज़िन्दगी अभी देखी नही.
आओ जिंदगी से लड़ के देखते हैं.

तुम्हे वो सब चाहिए था जो मेरे पास नहीं

हम साधारण से लोग हैं,
सरल चाहते हैं

किसने हमें भटकाया हमारी सहजता से
ये चकाचौंध तो अपनी कभी लगी ही नहीं

मैं तब यही चाहता था,
तुम अब कहते हो -

साधारण में असीम आंनद है,
सहज और सरल हो जाने मे

ना मैं गलत, बस तुम ही सही।
