स्त्रियां प्रेम में सिर्फ़ देना जानती हैं
या यूं कहें की प्रेम की पराकाष्ठा होती हैं स्त्री
अपने लिए किसी से कभी कुछ मांग नहीं पाती
ईश्वर की सबसे स्वार्थरहित कृति

वैसे लगता है मुझे कभी कभी
शायद ईश्वर भी तो स्त्री नहीं?
क्योंकि वो भी तो बदले में
कभी कुछ नहीं मांगता!

एक अमलतास का पेड़
जो तुमने लगाया था,
हमारे आँगन के बीच...
आज तुम्हारे जाने के बाद
पीले फूलों से लदे हुए,
सभी की वाह-वाही बटोर रहा है;
नज़रें नहीं हटती हैं मेरी भी;
एक टक देखे जाती हूँ बस।

यकायक ख़्याल मेरे
भंग हो जाते हैं
मानो एक नींद से जैसे जागी हूँ मैं;
मानो इस पेड़ के फूलों की ओट में
छिपे हुए, चुपचाप देख रहे हो मुझे।

रंग प्यारे हैं मुझे
ये जानते थे तुम,
कहते थे रंग हमेशा रहने चाहिए,
मैं रहूँ चाहे न रहूँ;
कहो रंग भरती रहोगी न?

और उस अमलतास को देख,
मैं अपने क्षणभंगुर जीवन में
कुछ रंग भरने चल देती हूँ।

देख कर यूँ मुझे
जहाँ कहीं भी हो तुम,
खुश हो रहे होंगे...
है न?

अगर होली के रंगों की तरह लोगों के रंग भी दिखाई दे पाते तो न जाने कितने रिश्ते टूट जाते और कितनों से मोह छूट जाते।

I wish you peace and joys much and slight.
You live a life full of content and success,
May you get whatever you want- more or less.

Without you my stupid talks will cease.
You bring smlies on my face and you make me frown,
But then, you are my best friend- a king without crown.
I wish that your all dream come true soon,
And your life be as glowy as the moon.
May your future shines as bright as Sun,
And together we may make memories loaded with fun.
It's your birthday and all I have is my words for you,
You'll find me with you in all Times, I'll stand besides you.

जो जुबाँ से कह जाऊँ मैं बातें सभी अपने दिल की,
तो मेरी कलम की अहमियत न बाकी रहेगी।
जो न पिघले वो मेरे अलफाज़ों की तासीर से,
ये लफ्ज़ों से मोहब्बत भी फिर जाती रहेगी।

तुम्हारा प्यार उस भोजन की तरह है जो मेरे हृदय की क्षुधा को तो शाँत कर देता है पर आत्मा को तृप्त नहीं करता।

जिस्म तेरा बे-पैहरन देखूँ ऐसा प्यार नहीं मेरा
इस इश्क में मेरे बस रूह से पर्दा नहीं होगा।

खिलते हुए फूलों से क्या मेल है मेरी मोहब्बत का,
कि फूल तो खिलकर मुरझा जाया करते हैं
