Sometimes…
waves rise within,
and in the ocean of thoughts
a thousand words keep floating.

Every scene, every feeling
longs to pour onto the page,
yet at the tip of the pen
only silence gathers.

The words are so close
they throb in my breath,
and still, they slip through my fingers
vanishing into the air.

And I…
just keep staring at the empty page,
as if it might write
the story my heart
cannot speak.

A platform waiting restlessly, longing for that train,
A station yearning to echo with its horn again.
And the train that reached the right platform’s side,
Yet lacked the courage there to abide

छोटी सी रौशनी लाए हो?
जहाँ भीड़ में चेहरे खो जाते हैं,
उम्मीदों का दिया जलाने आए हो?

ना शोर है, ना कोई सन्नाटा,
सादगी की आवाज़ बनने आए हो?
इन रंगीन अंधेरों के साये में,
चाँद की परछाईं बनने आए हो?

ऊँची इमारतों के पीछे,
छुपे जज़्बातों को छूने आए हो?
तन्हा गलियों की नज़रों में,
खामोशी से मुस्कुराने आए हो?????

तो सही आए हो.......
तो सही आए हो इन हवाओं में,
जहाँ हर रौशनी बिकने लगी है,
तुम जैसे चुप उजालों की जरूरत,
हर खोई रूह को दिखने लगी है।
