इतिहास गवाह है कि किसी पर आँख
मूंद कर किया गया भरोसा ठोकर लगने की
वजह बनता है!

मुझे यकीन है बाबा कि आप मेरे आंसुओं
को व्यर्थ नहीं जाने दोगे ; मेरे वषों का इंतजार
एक दिन पूरा होगा और उस दिन धूल जाएंगे
वो सभी ग़म वो तकलीफ़े !

जब मन बेचैन और कुंठित हो तो
सोचते सोचते समय कब निकल जाता है इसका
अंदाजा नहीं हो पाता! जब मन में कोई बात घर
कर जाती है; रह रह कर वो बातें नसों में सिहरन
पैदा करती है, मानों जैसे कोमल मन में अंगारे दहक
रहे हो ! जैसे रक्तचाप में कमी आ रही हो , मानों जैसे
कोई पुराने जख्मों को कुरेद रहा हो !
और अंत में झकझोर देने वाली हवा से अचानक
ही मेरा चिंतन भंग हो जाता है !!

इस नये साल में तुमसे जुड़ी हर‌ उन यादों
को मिटाना है जो मेरी तकलीफ की वजह है!
भूल‌ कर अपने अतीत को आने वाले कल को
गले लगाना है; जो गुज़र गया वो दर्द वो आंसु
अब मेरे किसी काम के नहीं, बस यही सोचकर
आगे बढ़ना है ।
