तुम आगाज़ तो लिखो,
हम एक खूबसूरत सा अन्जाम लिख देंगे!
आओ कभी हमारे शहर,
तुम्हारी खातिर इक रंगीन शाम लिख देंगे!
के लिखते आए हैं किस्से अबतक दूसरों के,
अबकी बार अपनी कहानी सरे-आम लिख देंगे!
और हमारी मोहब्बत पर कभी शक ना करना,
वरना हम शायर हैं, शायरी में तुम्हारा नाम लिख देंगे !!

And this is how I said goodbye to my hometown while leaving for airport that evening!

सफर भर मंज़िल तलाशते रहे,
मंज़िल के बाद,
फकत सफर को याद करते रहे!

I was having a rough time
Mentally exhausted, nothing more to say.
My sibling came and dragged me to the terrace
"come na, let's say goodbye to this beautiful day!"

I was unsure about everything actually
That's why I agreed easily

The whole blue sky, and those chirping birds
That soothing breeze
Was playing with the leaves
And the dark reddish sunset with a little of shine
Seemed, everything was waiting for me and singing,
"Hey! baby girl, you'll be fine!"

And my heart whispered,
"Neither I need that person,nor that job
But this is the moment I always wanted to rob!"

के जब तुम आते हो यूं नज़रों के सामने
कोई भी शय ना रहती है हमारे इख्तियार में।

अल्फ़ाज़ मेरे होंठो पर ही ठहर जाते हैं
और जो ये निगाहें हैं,वो सजदे में जाते हैं।

इन गालों पर एक अलग सी सुर्खी आती है
दो पल को ही सही,मगर जान कसम से
ये धड़कन रुक सी जाती है।

ये उंगलियां मेरी खुद-ब-खुद इन जुल्फों को समेटती है
और ये कदम ना जाने क्यों अपना रुख बदलती है।।

In the clear nights
You can count the stars
But sorry I'll be busy talking to the moon
About our scars!

I'll surely take you to the ways of my favourite street food
Then you can peacefully watch your football match, I'll not be rude!

I'll laugh at your dumb mistakes anytime anywhere,
But whenever you'll feel low
Then I'll be,with my shoulders there!!

है एक शहर

यूं तो आबादी है उसकी पहचान
परन्तु पड़ रहा है वो वीरान।

क़त्ल हुए हैं लोग अनेक
चीख रहे हैं शमशान और कब्रिस्तान।

क़त्ल हुई इंसानियत पहले
फिर मार डाला बाकी इंसान।

क़ातिल है सबके बीच खड़ा
फिर भी बने हैं सब अनजान।

कहना चाहा जो सच किसी ने
मुंह पर रखा उसके हाथ या बन्द कर लिए अपने कान।।

तू पत्थरों को चीर कर जन्मा पुष्प है!
