Your brain will be saturated with them
And your heart, half submerged;
You'd have almost fallen
But when you see them again,
You plunge.

...my neighbour trimming his hedges.
I step out and see, the mother next door dealing with her two crying children ...and a crying husband.
Look out and see the trader selling wares on her head, calling out to a people ...who wouldn't buy.
Out and see danger prawling on the street like it's a new thing.
And see someone on the opposite balcony, looking out into the world.
Looking to see.

Do angels live here on earth?
Creatures of pure light
Among us, the sons of Adam,
With the filth we are unwilling to adjust?
Do they stay in the same places
The prostitutes and hoodlums stay?
Or with multimillionaires
Who have special places reserved by the devil?
Do angels walk around
The houses of darkness the young ones
See inside their hearts?
Or do they look down at all this
From their untainted home in the heavens?
