I look up at the stars and think
How fate would have been different if I wasn't awake at this time,
Does these stars shine a little dim today than yesterday?
Or have I made myself so tired that the stars seem to be fading?
What is this gnawing loneliness of the night,
I look up at the stars and think.

बेताबियाँ और खामोशियाँ

आज दिन कुछ थमा हुआ है,
समय रुक रुक के आगे बढ़ रहा है,
धड़कने बस बेसब्री से दौड़ रहीं हैं,
एक डर का सा एहसास देते हुए।
खामोशियाँ जैसे कुछ कहने को बेताब हैं,
सब आगे तो बढ़ रहा है,
फ़िर हम क्यूं हैं यहाँ उलझे हुए।
हर ख़्याल में तुम हो,
हर सांस में भी बस तुम,
बिन बोले बहुत कुछ बोलने का है मन।
जब थमेगी ये सांस,
जब ढलेगी जिंदगी की शाम,
उस आख़री पल तक चढ़ती रहेगी ये मोहब्बत परवान।
किसने देखा है क्या रखा है इस दुनिया के पार
गर होगी एक और दुनिया
तो मिलेंगे हम करते हुए तुम्हारा ही इतंज़ार।।

वादियों में सिर्फ प्यार का एहसास होता है।

कुछ मुस्कुराहटें, कुछ दर्द हैं इसके आँचल में दबे हुए
मौसम बदले,
दिन भी बदल गए,
हम चलते चलते ठहर गए,
कुछ हरे कुछ भरे जख्मों से भी टकरा गए,
गिरते संभालते रुकते चलते,
आँखों की नमी से कैसे अब लड़ते,
जिंदगी तो चलती रही,
ये किसके रुकने से है थमी,
खलेगी वो एक कमी,
सूख जायेगी वो नामी,
चस्पा किये टुकड़े लिए चलते रहो यूहीं,
आगे बढ़ने का जुनून है अभी वहीं,
तो क्या हुआ अगर ज़ख्म सिलते नहीं।।

बैर लेकर चल रहा है
न कोई ठिकाना, न मंज़िल का पता है

ख़ुदा भी बिछड़ रहा है
हर तरफ ही थमा सा समा है
मैं तेरा दुश्मन, तू मेरा दुश्मन बन रहा है

मंज़र बदल गया है
कल इक अंधकार सा दिख रहा है
उजालों से बैर हो गया है
अब क्या कहें क्यों मंज़र बदल गया है।।
