What the "L"?!?


Looking today at my favorite letter of the alphabet;
Love, Loyalty and my name come to mind;
Luxury Lofts in Luxembourg; Shall we go snowboarding? Let's!
Lofty Lookouts among Giants? Something I have longed for, pined;
Lonely Lady aglow with luminous Light and Life;
L paired with A, for my last name too; makes the name of my most favorite City skyline...

Lie the Territory where You will find
The Real Story, the deeper meanings, and the clearer look;
The parts You learn only by reading; by experiencing each word, and each page;
To the End from the Beginning; through the Nights and the Days;
This is mirrored in Life itself, One’s Books become many;
And again when You see Your reflection, in the lines on Your skin, with scars and old injury;
And reflected even further in lines of ancestry, and history;
And out beyond reach in lines of orbit and trajectory;
To Times and Places unknown, where only the Universe sets the Tone, holds the pen, and knows where the Big Story will go;
Between the lines of a Book, You can find a good tale, some ideas or much more;
It’s all in Your perception, Your goal, and what You’re looking for

Misbehavior
Trouble
Deeper Trouble
Realization
Reevaluation
Humility
Wisdom

Is just waiting to be discovered;
Time is the only factor and there is no tellin’,
Who, when, or where, or in which order they’ll return;
But, Someone, Someday, and Somewhere,
The buried, sunken, and overlooked Forgotten,
Will soon again, Reappear.

Grow my roots deep,
I’d reach into the Sky;
I’d feel the Air with My leaves,
And wave to All who go by;
With branches so sturdy and strong I’d spread wide,
And welcome winged friends to make homes and to hide;
I’d see the World blooming around Me outside,
I’d watch as Time goes by and by in strides;
And live for many years, uncountable at best,
And always stand My ground with roots as deep as it gets.
