I replace my thoughts with imagination to sleep peacefully when the darkness of the world wraps around me. It is as painful as clenching the eyes shut before surrendering to the devil. Just like fantasising of the pain to evaporate as you can't see it more. It is as good as talking myself into eternal peace and calm with a racing heart that wants to end the sprint.
