Why do I feel like a bird tied to a line,
Wanting to fly in a sky that's not mine
Why does a reflection reminds me of someone,
Making me yearn for a past now undone
Why did a smile turned into an embrace,
Losing myself in the moment felt like solace
In my heart, all these questions are answered
But afraid to face my truth, I'll live the life of a coward

Fear poured over thousands of lives
Drowning hopes and dreams with a force unknown
Until a few nets built a roof over our heads
And a back bent as a stepping stone for us to rise

But somewhere around the world
Some disaster is waiting
To unite us
Against the will of our selves

Your absence is a vacuum inside my chest
One I filled with alcohol and smoke
But now I realize that I was wrong
I was filling it with hope, and it was killing me from the inside
My nights are incomplete without you,
And my days are numbered
Shall I wait for you beyond the veil
Or will I be alone even after I pass?

One more truth, to be forgotten as I open my eyes
When the light dawns on me, I have to live my lies again

Is it really wrong,
For a wolf that never fits in,
To wear a sheep's clothing?

My greed knows no bounds
When it comes to written words

I wonder why, I still have room for you in my heart
A place I hide away from everyone
A place, I deny the existence of
A place I go back to,
Everytime I feel truly alone.
It's something you don't deserve
But it's another place I call home.
It's another stain on my soul.

An abundance of words
And scarcity of feelings.
The reader was
Finally triumphing over the writer.

Love is like an invisible hand on my shoulder
Don't know whether it's weighing me down or holding me together
