I thought I had moved on from the past.
But the time slowed down, and my heart rushed when I realised that I received a text from you.

I did whatever I could do to make myself feel whole. I guessed I was doing it right all those years in the past. I was very moved at some point. Unfortunately I couldn't capitalise it for too long, as I felt a very strange void which I hadn't felt before. Some say life is a puzzle. Never knew I had realised it very late. Every piece contributes to a whole picture of what the puzzle actually looks like.

Right now all I can say is that you are the missing piece in my life's puzzle.

And then one day when I could finally live my life, you took back everything.

They used to say there would always be a light at the end of the tunnel. 

But mine is forever closed.

I asked her a year and a half ago, "What was the one thing you were proud of about me?" She replied that I would do whatever to make her happy, even if it meant leaving her. It took me more than a year to realise what she meant that day.

At times, certain things feel foreign, and at other times, they seem familiar. The difficult thing is that you have become neither of them.
