ख़ुद को इतना जो हवा-दार समझ रक्खा है,
क्या हमें रेत की दीवार समझ रक्खा है ।

हम ने किरदार को कपड़ों की तरह पहना है,
तुम ने कपड़ों ही को किरदार समझ रक्खा है।

मेरी संजीदा तबीयत पे भी शक है सब को,
बाज़ लोगों ने तो बीमार समझ रक्खा है।

उस को ख़ुद-दारी का क्या पाठ पढ़ाया जाए,
भीख को जिस ने पुरूस्कार समझ रक्खा है।

तू किसी दिन कहीं बे-मौत न मारा जाए,
तू ने यारों को मदद-गार समझ रक्खा है।

वो ज़िसकी मुहब्बतों के किस्से है क़िताबों में बेहिसाब यारों,
वो माँ अब नही रही, अपनी माँओं से ही दुआ करादो यारों।
