Time and again,

I couldn’t help but notice the changing hues under the saffron lit sky
A weird silence prevailed in the heart of the most happening city
Something was different, something felt unusual

After a long time, the silence felt so loud
The wailing siren of the ambulance passing nearby
was making this silence more awkward and unthinkable

But somehow,
The melodious birds wandering aimlessly
against the soothing zephyr around the city brought some life
The sudden whirring of the plane wings buzzed from a distant field
As dusk fell, the notorious children caterwauled on their roofs while elders walked

It wasn’t the very same, but it wasn’t very different too
The dying rays of the sun seemed very meek and mild
Yet it was loud and courageous to cheer for a better tomorrow
of hope and less suffering.
