There are people who bond over cricket. Then, there are people who bond over few drinks. We could find many, bonding over their love of favourite directors, movies and series.
Foodies could bond over their taste buds, and such bonds could be segregated again on vegetarians and non vegetarians. People do bond over their common goal of reducing weight. They empathise with each other, so bonding. Many other such endless examples are there.

But the best kind of bonding I would think doesn't depend on a common link. If you are sun, and I am moon, poles apart, we still trust each other, we understand that if you shine, I shine. I am not jealous of your brightness and light and you are not, of mine. I glow when you glow, and we bond forever.
