Does waiting teach one patience
Will i be on the losing end
If i wait too long?-
When doctors are harmed
Its a domino effect
One gets trashed
Others back away too
Soon... you'll find them playing it safe
Nobody's going to go that extra mile
Take that extra risk ..
When you're loved ones get affected
Thats when you will realize....
-
Why don't people understand
Doctors work to the best of their abilities
If they have made a mistake
There's enquiry, court, suspension and even termination of medical license
Why do people have to take justice into their own hands
Do we see them trashing people from any other profession if they do anything wrong?
-
Is it worth trying
When you know they'll pull you down?
Worth a try anyways

Ok right from the start
The world was facing second wave. We people in India, hardly vaccinated from corona virus, decided we were invincible. Hence off we went attending election rallies ,social gatherings and what not. No masks, no precautions whatsoever .Second wave picks up in India. It is worse than ever before. The youth got infected. They went back home and infected the elderly who hardly stepped out of their house. India was hardly prepared for this second wave.We didn't have enough oxygen,Icu beds, infrastructure and staff. The Doctor to patient ratio is pathetic. And yet still, you dear public behaved so carelessly and the elderly population had to pay the price. Now a patient is serious, the hospital doesn't have facility to treat complications, a graduate in medicine is expected to be at-par with specialist skills.Doctors are expected to magically make beds, oxygen and medications ready. You all are deluded. You public are equally responsible for the death of your loved ones.Had the pandemic been curbed. You wouldn't have had to see this day. The government should have forseen this situation. You must know that its the government's back that you have to pound.

Donn that mask right
Stick it in place ,make it tight!
Put on your boot covers
Secure it in place ;Lest you want them slipping off ,when you race -
Through the wards
Answering calls after calls.
Shove your feet through the gown : One size fits all-
Hah! What a lie!
Shorties like me;Literally look like a puffed up balloon.
I envy those who ramp walk in them
Enough of those thoughts-you admonish yourself
You have ten minutes max-
Zip up your gown
Googles ,mask ,gloves all in place
Stick tape covering every gap ; No entry for viruses-
That's the plan.
Are your googles fogging?
You're doomed for the rest of your shift.
As time passes ,
It gets worse!
Till you're eyesight gets completely hindered..
You're already sweating ,
You're already suffocating ,
The googles are hurting your face,
The N95 is bruising your nose,
The face shield is giving you a headache
Don't you worry - very soon, every difficulty you experience, Will be amplified.
You're tired, thirsty, sweaty and suffocating .
Till the next call comes-You push your discomforts aside
And keep trudging on and on.....-

Faking your feelings
Making false promises
When you bloody don't care
That hurts like hell-
I realise I've missed home
The familiarity
The security
Even if my life is total chaos
And nothing seems right
Home is sweet
Home is definitely where the heart is
The harsh realities of life
Fail to seep into this place
This is my safe haven
My happy place....
