Tomorrow is Another Goodbye

Waiting at my windowpane;
My soul is aggrieved in pain,
the sun dimming its light,
As the clouds turn gray and dark,
my eyes let out torrential flows.

I listened to mournful tunes play silently,
Eyes wet but kept in corners,
Memories of you, me, and us flashed before my face,
When place and time becomes pleasurable.

Oh, in the belly of the earth; you have made a home,
An abandoned land with no one,
Because death is an enemy,
we cry when one is gone.

Be careful where you step: the grave is wide,
For tomorrow our flowers may fade,
and all we will do is listen to
the silenced laughter of yesterday,
For dust shall return to dust.

Live in episodes of unfulfilled fantasy,
Swim in pleasures of futility,
Let each memory hang in the pockets
Of your heart; for tomorrow is another
Goodbye.

Dad, in a frame of time and mind, we have
Kept a memory that will not wane; in our
Hearts, you shall dwell like ribbons.
We will hold on to those memories of you, me and us.

Goodbye

I know I’m no longer your favorite
Meal,
The one that makes your belly joyful.

I know I’m no longer your favorite voice,
The one who sings you to bed and wakes you up at sunrise.

I know I’m no longer your favorite face,
The one that became picture-perfect for your screen.

But before you take the vow, can I…?

Can I ask for one more dance?
shall we dance to the rhythm of our heartbeats,
our hands and legs bind in a melodious tango,
whilst we rekindle a love that we have lost!

Can I ask for one more kiss?
Maybe I’ll find closure in your
lips then I’ll let go.

Can I have one more breakfast,
one more lunch,
one more dinner,
may be I’ll be full and happy
then we can part.
But in between meals maybe
we can lie in bed one more time,
one more prolonged moment,
were time suspense indefinitely.

Can I ask for one more call,
So I can bid our friendship goodbye.

And if we have to live up the one more,
I hope it equals a life time,
and I’ll never get to the part,
where I’ll let you go.

Can this words appeal to your heart?

I Lied

I lied that the aches
in my heart are no more,
when you were mine.

I lied when my eyes rumbled
with tears,
as a fickle friendship dwindled to our fears.

You Lied when you promised tomorrow
but we couldn't see the fruition of today.

I lied, when I rise at midnight
to replay a memory we shared before Twilight.

I lied about my misery
When I was only just but an emissary.

Can we reconcile our future
and forget the yore in the past?

Come, let the bliss of the rain
tame our flames.
And the rising rays shine upon our livid faces.

Come, let’s tear down the fences
and build a bridge of ridges that
will shake hands to a new dawn.

Respité

You asked for affection,
I offered you love,
but it was trampled on.

I lavished you with respect
still, you scorned.

Fought for you like
I was in a military site.

Fended your borders from heist.

Moreover, I became fragile due to many bruises,
I needed your support
but you cavile.

What's the reward for my selflessness?

Like a defeated soldier I return home
from the battlefield,

A zero star General,
with no badges of victory vested,
to decorate my insipid uniform,
No wages paid to tend for the injuries
incurred while in battle.

A lonely Londoner,
whose name may not be
sculpted on marble,
Wounded and in pain,
But no one to nurse me to verve,

In this wilderness may my soul respite.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆

Oh, ye women!
Come in numbers,
Bring your cymbals,
Sing and merry,
For thou art many.

Come ye, Fathers
and brothers
Help the girl child
rise above the society
with many novelties.

Oh, dear women!
Celebrate your selflessness,
For over the centuries you
have been marginalized
and maligned.

Herald thy victory
through technology
and innovation
Break the bias
Stop the fracas
Rise above patriarchy
Ye harbingers of equity.

The Move

Living the shores We once cherished
Going in search of pastures that are seldomly green
The farewell music are escorted by tears
With huge sobs shaking off tomorrow’s fears.

As we watch the plane glide into the sky
In silence, we grieve
Cause this elemental move is to thrive
This great going is to survive

But in our heart, we promise
Never to bid you goodbye
B’cause that’s where you live
And in this promise lies our relieve.

Like a radio frequency, hearts are connected.
With strings of attachment,
Love gets easily ignited.

A flame that falsified the truth stood in ovation as they
Engulfed in an embrace.
Unbeknownst to them, t'was just a showcase.

When love becomes unresponsive,
The string of attachment is cut by the one who loved less.

The wounds grow deep
As the pain heap up like stair layers,
Creating a vacuum right in the heart.

With uncertainty the next chapter uncovers,
The fear that they'll grow apart makes the heart sick.
The ache gets stronger knowing that soon, another they'll surely pick.

The heart is shut,
A wall is built,
Drowned in tears,
A one time cherished memory is stabbed with Cupid's spear,
But this time, a wound of dispair.

To the one fairest in her dark skin
Complexion has made us kinsmen
I won’t say perfection is were you are
But beauty lies beneath your skin
And it radiates in your smile
One could look and appreciate the creator
For making this skin black queen
Your heart so sweet and its accommodates
Like the giant udala tree when the sun is at it peak
Your skin is brewed in dark chocolate
It Shimmers light during the moonlit night
Her eyes
Her Lips
Her rhythmic footsteps
Her kinky hair
Portrays her heritage
I Exult thee for staying true to your black skin
A queen you’ve been crowned
And thy throne will be Jubilant

IF THE HEART COULD SPEAK

It will sing you a song like a hummingbird
and memorize every lyric
It will tell you a story ;about how it feels when it finds it happy place, tell you all it joys and sadness until you find nothingness
It will show you moments captured in times frame that has made life worth living .

The heart seeks for what it want
It speaks words that can’t be heard
It sees you in every human
Cause your voice has become a familiar sound
Created by an indelible pencil
If only the heart could speak
Its could tell you how home it feels when with you

My child,
life will bring you many uncertainties
In whatever form it may come never forget to always pray,
the Almighty will hear you
He is generous and kind
You see those sons of Adam, be careful
Never sell yourself too short cos u will be the community's gossip
Don't place yourself too high cos
like the seasons you will pass
In all u do fear Him that sees all, and be modest
I think the time has come for mum to
sketch the kind of father she needs for you
and she prays the Almighty
graces him with life,
cause finding your Dad is quite a job
Its like finding coals in the mud.
However ,if the lord grants my desires
and gives u a dad then i'll birth you
As u mature, never marry a man with an 'AS' gene

cause you are already a carrier
you wouldn't want to fill the earth with ‘SS’ gene

Those people endure more than u can imagine,
if u ever meet one, give them your love cause they need it to stay strong
I wish u a safe journey into the world

........Love Mum
