🥀
in the dreamy summer days
the poet seduces,
while the lonely farmer slaves
and when the winter comes
fair maiden survives,
not on roses or poems. by corn-
A mango sat on a tree
And watched humans below
gathered in twos and threes
Struggling to taste its sweet juice
Each tried their own way,
Long sticks and poles some swayed
Until their patience wore away
Others were more brawn than brain
Stones and stones they threw in vain
A very creative means some devised
The rough tree trunk; they eagerly climbed
All the while feeling quite wise
But the ants nestled in the leaves
Felt likewise
And quickly they fell
with screams and cries
As the bumps from the bites started to rise
A mango sat on that tree
And watched humanity try and fail-
seek me at gloomy day's end,
from depths of internet i shall ascend
in place of gentle hug and secret hair sniff
i shall send emojis and numerous GIFs
with each line of text, & just like mine
your beautiful face will be plagued with smiles.
like loaded gun hides bullet's silver curve,
in random words will be proclamations of love
seek me at gloomy day's end
my dear friend,
and between goodnight and where-you-at?
we shall gleefully chat
-
the earth has two moons
one bound to its borders-
puppet master of the endless vacuum
pulling and pushing waters of its master
the other, walks freely on its surface
a reflection of the divine being that crafted it
emanating from it's core are forces of attraction-
drawing lucky mortals to its warm bosom
the earth has two moons
and while men gaze to the one in the heavens
my eyes would forever rest on you
-
Their constant mockery and spite
I can gladly withstand
But one thing i can't do without
Is the feathery feel of my lover's hand
Endless torrents and storms
I can bravely bear
But one thing that finds me undone
Is the daring drop of my lover's tear
Amidst dark clouds and murky skies
My courage flees not from me
But by a gracious gaze from my lovers eyes
My unearthly calm is replaced with wild glee
Beautiful poems and letters
I write for her
But the only thing my lover desires
Is the bold beating heart of another- Her lover-
Two moons ago i found the one i love
Her skin was as flawless as the ocean at dusk
Her eyes twinkled brighter than stones that shone from the heavens
Her voice pierced my heart like a pack of wolves howling at the full moon
She was a free spirit, her soul was bound to the winds
Adventure was her master and my heart, her slave
A million and one tales i could have spun of her essence
But the one thing i couldn't do
Was tell her how i felt
Two moons ago i found the one i love
And two moons ago I lost her too-
If by some enchantment
My soul takes mortal form
On a blank page it would reside
A single drop of boundless ink

God is the greatest chess player to ever exist
So roam the board as long as you wish
A time shall come when you will be cornered
Allies and friends lost on the journey
Extricate plans for conquest stolen by the winds
A futile path you shall walk upon
'til its all down to two pieces-
You and Him
He shall look you in your eyes, smile and say
"Checkmate"-
If beauty was a person,
It would have your eyes
It would sing songs in your cracky uneven voice
It would have a squeaky high pitched laugh
It would have mushy cheeks as big as doughnuts
It would be flawed in a way that only it can be
If beauty was a person
It would be you-
On some days it's the normal you crave for
The sounds of cars in the distance
The chirps of crickets at night time
On some days it's the normal you crave for
The romance between the leaves and the ground
The clouds;
And the game of shadows they play so well
On some days it's the normal you crave for
For in life's simplicity-
Lies it's beauty-
