As I saw you
You stared into nothingness
Early sun rays chiselled your face.
Bright golden light
Refined by your lashes
Your eyes glistened.
Dark brown pools filled with passion
For life
As I saw you
You lay unbothered, unmoved.
You lost in your own thoughts,
And I,
I lost in yours.
It seemed like the time stopped,
Might be for the world
The air blew and time flew
But we paused.
I stood there looking at you
Engraving your image
On my retina, permanently,
Failing to realise,
As I saw you, standing still,
The wind came
And your ashes blew
INTO NOTHINGNESS
