Waste of life
I was young, I was doing fine,
Studying hard, my goals in line,
Now I sit and ponder, feeling it's time,
Life's banquet is served, and I've reached the sign.
I had dreams, a distant place to be,
To gain great fame, you see,
But destiny had a different decree,
And I surrendered to the vast sea.
Here I went, there I went,
To different places, I was sent,
Still uncertain of the event,
What's next, I can't prevent.
Shared moments with friends, laughter so sweet,
Passing hours in a joyful beat,
Years passed by in a swift retreat,
My mind now feels the heat.
Distracted from the main aim,
Didn't realize the pursuit of fame,
Now I see, it's not the same,
All those years, what a shame.
