It is not easy to rise after you fall.
It is not easy to restore your trust and faith after a betrayal.
It is not easy to heal from trauma.
It is not easy to find gains after a loss.
It is not easy to hope after despair.
It is not easy to heal from hurt.
It is not easy to try after you are tired.
It is is not easy. It is difficult.
However, it is not impossible.
You can do it. And you will.

11 JUL AT 1:19

A light seeps in through the fractures of my heart and soul, illuminating the ravages of yesterday's gone by.

Some treasures lie covered by rubble, while others are trash no longer usable.

I walk through these, some sharp edges piercing my feet eliciting a cry and pain.

Others brush my feet tenderly, morphing onto memories that drench me like soft falling rain.

Was this the path I once walked alone, imagining shadows to be the company I thought was with me?

Was this the path I feared, looking at the never ending road snaking ahead of me?

The road now seems welcoming, inviting me to up my pace. To walk lighter without anything that would slow me down - so I choose to only carry grace.

I once waited for company and to be guided. Following footprints I wasn't sure where they led.

I once chose to wait till I was told I could start.

A light now seeps through the fractures of my heart and soul Illuminating the truth that I must now only follow my heart.

A lot of us are unhappy because we give grace when what the situation/person actually requires is kalesh and chapet.

Men call women 'gold diggers'.

Men should be labelled 'soul diggers' as the ones who are not confident in themselves take away everything from a woman, her personality, her peace, her self esteem, her respect and her courage.

This after using every resource they can from her AND then expect her to go to work and contribute 50/50 towards expenses.

Sometimes I reek of stale dreams
and shards of splintered vows pierce my hopes
The horizon is tinged with hues of regret
as reminiscences of a promised happiness take me places I don't want to go
That's when I shrug off my cape of despair
as I inhale lungfuls of faith
and hem my blessings with gratitude
and begin to rewrite my fate.

You don't always have to know where you're going.
Sometimes, being lost leads you towards a new direction.

Dear God,

Bless me with the energy of Modiji,
the strategic thinking of Amit Shah
and
the imperviousness of Rahul Gandhi.

Please.

If you keep cutting yourself to fit every expectation others have of you, all you'll be left with is scraps of yourself.
