I live in a large, wide world
Young, independent, free....
Then why did the lockdown,
Make no vital difference to me?

I paused. Bit by bit,
I took myself apart.
Found how safely,
I had imprisoned my heart.

A lack of chains, I found,
Freedom is not.
If I decide to never stray,
From the beaten path.

Independence, I learn,
Is not about surviving alone.
But being in a caged crowd,
Yet hearing your soul.

And the youth in my age,
Has no meaning;
If there is no morrow, to look forward to,
After a night of dreaming. (Contd...)

I told you about the time,
I spent the night with strangers;
Around a bonfire, a telescope in sight,
Singing through the dark light.

And the thousand wars I battled,
To get here alive tonight.

I've been cheated at. I've been betrayed. I've been lied to. I've been used. I've spent countless days asking "Why me?". How could I have been so foolish? Why did I stoop down to beg him? But at the end of the day, I realized I was just a person who loved truly, in a world where it didn't matter. It's not I who have to apologize.

The Start of a Story

....... Read in caption

After mentally rehearsing an introduction for ten minutes, and staring at the phone for another twenty, "It's time to say hello and get it over with", she thought.

#I will never forgive you

For never allowing my parents to feel their daughter will be okay.

#I will never forgive you

For the countless nights my eyes have been too blurred by tears, to see the moon above and the stars around.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that someone could feel as sad and as lost, searching for the end of a tunnel that no one knows goes how far, I can't imagine another human being enduring the same pain. But when I find a quote that describes the exact feeling I can't weave with words, followed by a million likes, I wonder if I'm really alone....

A journal to reflect my day,
A scheduler to plan my tomorrow.
A book to taste today,
A night stand to guard the dreams, flying through the skies.

And then the veil of darkness falls,
My pillow is drenched in tears.
I hang on to hope like a thirsty man hangs on to the last drops in his bottle;
Not enough for the journey, maybe just survive the night.
