ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕೂತರೆ ಅವಳು
ತಡೆರಹಿತ ರೈಲು,
ಮಾತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಮುಗಿದಮೇಲೆ
ಅವಳ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ
ಮೌನವೇ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ.

Why do her eyes
talk too much?

Why?

Shit! I don't know,
I'll never
know.

That's
alright.

As the cold wind blows
she adjusts her hair
and that is poetry.

I was afraid and
I am afraid
now,

If I tell her
that I love her,

she would stop talking
to me and my heart
would stop
beating
for
me.

So, I ignored
the love

and let her talk
to let my heartbeat.

ಕಪ್ಪು ಕೋಗಿಲೆಯು ಕತ್ತ
ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ಆಡುತ್ತಾ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು
ಕೇಳುವವರು ಯಾರೋ
ಎಂಬ ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದೆ.

ಪಿಳಿಪಿಳಿ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು
ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿತ್ತು
ಕರಿ ಕಾಗೆಯ ಗೂಡ
ತಾಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ತವರಿಲ್ಲದೆ.

"Then I should love more"

"Who is stopping you?"

"My heart"

She didn't say anything
instead, she hugged me
like I was the last
person on earth
she would
touch.

And I left my heart
in the abyss
before it
craved
more.

ಬರೆದರಷ್ಟೇ ಕವಿತೆಯೇ?
ಬರೆಯದೆ ಇರುವುದೇ ಕವಿತೆ.

"You're lying."

"I'll stop..."

"You always say that
this is the last poem,
but you never stop."

"This is the last poem,
I promise."

"If you write one more poem
you'll never see me again."

and I never saw her
again.

Sooner or later

people will get bored of you,
they get bored of your looks,
they get bored of your smile,
they get bored of your poems,
they get bored of your love,
they just get bored of you.

And your existence doesn't mean
anything to them because
there is nothing left
in you to offer.

You will sit, sleep and suffer
in silence like an old dog
on a busy street
unable to live,
unable to die.
