One fine night
we decided to not sleep tight,

Sitting on the terrace
Waiting for the sunrise,

With a cup of coffee in our hands
and a blanket around our heads,

The rays were taking over the sky
and the birds started flying,

The street lights went off
and chattering started coming from homes,

We started on lazy vibes
and the day passed by with all good vibes!

The waiging tails and the tilted heads,
The naughty winks and the salty licks.
Quietly listens to all my fears,
and swipe away all my tears.
The short and scrubby nose,
ears hanging very low.
No I don't have my own dog,
but there are several roaming on the road.
Just having them by my side,
brings me a huge smile.
Going on the streets makes me feel better,
for as I know they are not haters.
And very rightly they have captured -
'If a man likes dogs, he is a good man.
If a dog likes a man, he is a good man'

Scared of her own thoughts,
she tried to pen them down.
Now words to start with,
but a heavy heart to cry out.
There's so much
she was trying to hide,
But her pen wasn't lying.
She pour all her heart out,
and that's how she survived.

This girl wanted to love selflessly
so she got a dog for herself.
He was the only one in her life,
she cared the most for.
Afraid to lose him,
Loved him more with every passing day.
That day eventually came,
With the dog, she was also gone.
Thinking she was lost,
A boy came in her life.
He loved her like she loved the dog,
Made her realise
there were people to look for her.
She believed in love again
And the magic was in the air.

Although we happened
but we took that break.
That break is what
changed everything,
now things happen
but we are not the same.
How we wished
to dance under the stars,
but all we do is
drink at the bars.
It's not that
