THE CITY
'Through the glass balconies and the french windows do you see what I see?
The city that rumbles everyday underneath and the humans rummaging through their past, still walking down those streets with hope in their eyes and ambitions in their hearts. May be they will fulfill some and leave others in halfway or maybe they will hope for those others to touch the finish line. What do you say?'
To my question, she just nodded her head and said, 'I see everyday what you see today'. All this time when I was out loud with this notion, she was probably resonating with my thoughts more, than having an ability to contemplate with them. Rather than looking down at the road, I could read all those hopes, aspirations and the urge in my own daughter more than the city.-
Today I want to rip open
the mended stitches of smiles
over the rugged dark patches of melancholy.
If you be kind to listen to me,
I will today unlock and open
the closed drawers of sentiments
I accumulated over the years of yore
and from the present.
Closed were they,
because they remind of pain, humiliation and sorrow.
But today I choose to share,
Because you say my smiles are magic,
But they hide the deep taverns of a maimed human.
And when you listen to me,
I will beam at you,
Slowly unravel to you the real me.
But if you and when you judge me, again,
I will slowly and quietly retrieve,
wrap those pieces back
in the precious silk of my mind,
put them back in those closed drawers,
and, shut them up forever,
leaving you with only my faux smiles.
I will today, mend those feelings,
If you choose to listen or judge,
I will close my eyes and listen to me.-
It's only a dream, maybe,
or maybe not!
The innocent jab at happiness,
Some may say it's too desperate,
but there still is that innocence of trying,
May be or may be not!
A winter rose may seem pale to some,
and a metaphor of subtle beauty to one.
May be it's all how you see it,
or may be not!-
The rise of swirling torpedo inside,
carries me to an another mayhem from this one.
Might the dizziness fade but the inkling of a new world never fades!-
The warmth you embrace me with now,
doesn't make me resent as much I thought it will.
For now, you repent and ask for penance,
For when you could acknowledge my mortal presence,
You shrugged me away with the back of your hand.
And now, you love me
And now, you value me
Because I have transcended to another plane.
I sense it now and deeply fathom with you.
For humans collect souvenir of fallen maple leaves,
and, the ones on the tree are devoid of that admiration.
Ironical, isn't it?
how we value death more than the thriving life!-
Half-opened eyes,
blurry with foggy dreams;
yet looks at you each time,
like it's clouded by your love.
True, is what the heart says.
Silly, is what the mind reminds.
But, who can think of these advisors;
when my eyes and my soul,
only absorb you.
Maybe, this is what they call as
Love!-
Maybe I am bruised,
But, may be I can heal.
Time does it for all; they say.
But, why not just,
stop hurting and start respecting
each other.
Time, then can be deployed
for better reasons.
-
Naught my mind is a temple of horror like you claim,
Naught my soul is a spitfire as you say,
You ought to know the truth better than me, you mouth.
But, here your lies are itself letting you down.
Oh my vengeful love, my mind doesn't thinketh of you.
If only I understood you and me at the crossroads was not serendipity,
But, my death staring and smiling at me.
Voracious, rapacious and insatiable hunger of yours for my sterlings,
Oh my pitiful love, I couldn't satiate even when I die.
That the cold heart of yours is still clouded by avarice,
And, naught the memories of the twinkling love in my eyes.
Love, is what I die for and love is what you will pay for.-
Nothing, literally nothing but only the truth wins. Every single time!
It will take time, but it will not wither away. Truth is the strong foundation upon which the humanity stands. Everything else is baseless!
