The window that I often sit in front of
And peek through with a smile.
The window that I often look out of,
That I always look towards with eagerness and hope.
At the end of the day, you will always find me right there,
tiptoeing and playing hide and seek around that window.
A window as pristine as freshly bought parchments.
A window without any cracks
as the spine of a new book taken out of a bookshelf.
A window that shimmers like sunlight.
A window that sings softly like a hummingbird.
You are that window of mine.

Will make you feel like
It is observing us from the shadows,
with a smug smile on its face, giggling.
Feeling this devlish satisfaction,
After watching us humans failing to keep up with it and lagging behind
And always being the last one
To step over the finishing line of life's race.

how to be more considerate.
How to be kinder, softer, gentler.
How to love others more passionately.
How to hold others tightly.
Our fears teach us
All of us are more alike than we think.
All of us are together in this fight.
Our fears teach us
We can still grow more,
spread our branches more.
Our fears teach us
The world can be scary but
We can still be much stronger
than we were the day before.

some names are simply peaceful to look at.
Some names simply feel beautiful to utter.
Some names simply make your lips
curl in a genuine smile.
Yours would be one of them.

#Being proud of my efforts.
#Remembering my long hours of hard work at night.
#Letting go of silly mistakes and learning from them instead of beating myself up over it.
#Not taking the people I love for granted.
#Showering all the love and kindness and care that I have on them.
#Remembering how they look when they smile.
#Preserving the feeling of their touch.
#Making myself and them happy.
#Being simple and looking at life from a simpler perspective.

It's scary how we think our loved ones will be with us forever.
It's scary how we take that time for granted so easily.
It's scary how we forget that their death and my death are inevitable.
It's scary how this fact slips from our mind
as swiftly as it weighs on us out of nowhere.
It's scary how these realizations hit you
while you are casually holding their hands one night.
It's scary how you come to the conclusion that
one pair of the entangled hands and their warmth
is bound to leave this world before the other one does.

The curtains never being drawn again.
The sunshine never sneaking into our room again.
The smell of tea that you used to make,
never wafting through the air again.
Waiting for you feels like
Our couch where we used to sit
and binge watch our favorite shows together,
remaining empty once again.
The kitchen being abondoned forever once again,
Where we used to giggle and bake burnt cookies.
Waiting for you feels like
My shadows being my only companion
for as long as I will live.
My voice being the only echo I will hear
for as long as I will live.
Waiting for you feels like
My presence being the only sense of life
that I will get to feel in my lifetime.

When you have been relentlessly persevering to make someone's life better and then someday, one day they tell you with their lips curling in an uncontrolable smile, "I'm doing better. I'm happy now."

After overcoming your pain,
Don't dare let yourself forget it.
Don't hold on to it so tightly,
but don't let it slip away completely either.
Remember that feeling of anguish your heart went through,
To remind yourself of your strength.
To polish your ability to withstand agony.
To extend the threshold of your endurence.

Some stories that you scrawl,
Stories that you claim to have appeared and peeked in your mind out of nowhere,
Those are the ones surreptitiously stemming from the darkest parts of your subconscious.
Those stories, you want to keep them veiled for eternity.
Those stories, you always want to run away from.
Those stories, you don't ever wish to accept.
Those stories, you want to delicately conceal under the playful scribble of your words.
