राहीम और राम दोनों एक थे,
जिसका ख़ून बहा और जिसका खोला, दोनों एक ही थे
एक जैसे थे।

हाड़ मांस एक थे, ख़ून पसीने एक थे
भूख एक थी, रोटी एक थी,
पीर एक था, पोथी एक थी,
जश्न एक थे, मय्यतें एक थीं,
शर्म और अदब़ एक थीं, लफ़्ज़ों लिबास एक थे;

हां इबादत अलहदा थी लेकिन रब एक ही को याद किया,
एक ही थे वे, दो नहीं, उनको लड़वाया जिसने वह‌ एक था।

वे एक थे प्रेम में, नफ़रत ने बंटवारा करवाया,
उनको लड़ाने वाले ने जी भर के लुफ्त उठाया...

Jumping into the darkness,

J: nhi saala tum ek baat batao, paisa tum zyada kamata hai fir bhi isko gaali deta hai?
R: pehle tu ek sawal ka jawab de... Zindagi kiske bina nhi chal sakti?
J: khane ke bina!
R: haa to paisa kyo chahiye?
J: paise se hi to khana ata hai...
R: paisa kaha se ata hai?
J: kaam karne se...!!
R: hmm ab samjha?
J: kya samjha be?
R: khana kaam se ata hai paise se nhi...!
