Abakhi bezizwe zogqobo,
Amakosikazi
Agcotyiswa ubukhazikhazi
Boncumo oluhle,
Iintsika zekhaya ezenza isizwe sipuhle.

To sing the unsung praises
Of a million tongues
Spawn and nurtured by your loving arms
Ndithi qude manikiniki zindala zombini
Bhinqela pezulu usingisele emafini.
Stand firm!
Affirm, that i am what i am
And what i am is beautiful.
Define who you are,
Who you want to be, dream further than the eye can see
You are a force of nature, the roots to the tree,
I hope, one day you feel truly safe and free.

Writers block
Its the worst.
"I am the best, better than the rest, "
Screams my subconscoius
Yet cheesy and mediocre lines
Smother me
Pushing me to blend in with the flock.
I want to stand out, be visible to the blind
I want litereature to stand by my side
I want it choose me
Just as i have
But instead i sit here
Brimming with fear
Of losing the writer in me

I see my reflection.

Im smothered with emotion.

Im oozing with passion.

Im filled with satisfaction.

I crave for attention.

Im engulfed with affection.

Ive tasted perfection.

Ive found my concoction, my hearts potion.

Ive felt affection of immense proportion.
Your gaze my fortitude, your smile my fortune....

Who helps me laugh my fears away

The color of your skin speaks volumes
In a world of perjury and prejudice
I feel a headache coming
A valuum please.
You might think its a tease
But closely look, take down notes, get a book.
Suckle the wisdom,
From the great kingdom,
The one that sold you the elusion of freedom
Such a conandrum
That we are free
Yet we are too blind to see
Too fearful to take a leap
The faithful one.
Are you the chosen one?
To take a leap, to venture off the steep hill and take the leap
To not let them define you
To follow your own trend, refine you
And
Your beauty will show!
Suddenly all the world will know!
That you are one in a million!
The true gold bullion!

Floating through the cosmos
Tiny specks yet significant
An anomaly so rare,
So magnificent
Dozens of light years
Travelling to this moment
Of moans and groans
Pulling each others hair,
Indulging in life being fair
To such an odd pair
We are an electron pair.

Please teach me humility
Such a a crucial resource
Treated with such undignity
Yet everyday you nourish and replenish us
Nature's life source

Please teach me strength
Perseverance and character
Teach me the patience to break through rocks and meander through valleys and mountains

Please lend me a sip
From your cup of wisdom
Traveller, warrior and breaker of boundaries.

Teach me serenity
Teach me to be headstrong
To be still yet run deep
To be transparent yet mysterious
Teach me adaptation
To rise above my struggles
Teach me how to be majestic and glorious
Like the big blue sea
Thats how great i want to be...

Holding on for dear life
Not a simple decision of fight or flight
But,
Of everyday endurance of life and its plight
The long slow dance of victorious defeats,
Battles won, wars lost.
Red fills the sky
The setting of the marvelous beast
Leaving way for night to have its feast
Nocturnal creatures, creepy crawlies,
Come out of their corners.

Hanging on for dear life
Humble in my defeat
The break of a new dawn a symol of hope
For one to rise on his feet
To prepare, to give life to hope.

Holding on for dear life
The one true treasure
A gem without measure
Filled with trials, sweet with it's pleasures
Enough to make one want to live forever.
