Atleast I have
beautiful sunsets
to stare at-
You don't need love, to be heartbroken
When the kid on the bus doesn't wave back at you,
When the puppy on the road runs away when you tried reaching,
When that person closes the door, knowing you were right behind
You don't need love, to be heartbroken
When they ignore your joke, but laugh when someone repeats it
When they forget to call you, to your friend's birthday party
When they say "nothing" when you ask, but you clearly know there's something
You don't need love, to be heartbroken
When you find out things about your best friend from a complete stranger,
When the person who trusted you with their life, is now afraid to even talk to you
You don't need love, to be heartbroken...
But just the thought of losing it
-
Part 2/2
The day when the spring's warm breeze
Flows over the gardens,
Tickling the flowers and the green leaves,
The day when everyone, small and big
Pushes away the barriers
That stood tall separating them,
And strives for uniform prosperity.
The day when goodwill lies in the hearts of people
And not just in their social media posts
Is the day that I dream
To wake up to, in my nation.-
Part 1/2
The day when the early morning sun
Paint the sky and the clouds
In a bright saffron tint,
The day when the people
Stand together, still and strong
Against the demons, both visible and hidden,
That haunted them for ages.
The day when the midnight moon
Full, bright and spotless
Shines over the waters, painting them white,
The day when the doves of peace
Fly in the sky, free and safe,
When the faith of the people lies in humanity
And not in the fraudsters under the mask of spirituality.-
"Your brother", they said,
Gently putting him in her arms.
Little did she know what that means,
For she is yet so innocent and small.
But no star had ever shone so bright
As her eyes at that moment.
She loved him with her heart and soul,
He was her sprite, and her whole.
All his wins she saw as hers,
Never did she ever let him fall.
A sister, should he call her?
A mother after mother.
Years later, he opened his eyes,
To see a world that no longer sees her.
Never did he anticipate this day,
All her life, he took her for granted.
He yelled, he wept, but everything in vain
For she had left him, alone and in pain.-
The night was still, filled with silence,
Only to be broken by the drizzling rain.
With a broken heart, drenched in pain,
The loner sang, "Alone I come, alone I go..."
The day was bright, warm and calm,
With magpies' chatter and orchids' charm.
With a sizzling heart, burning in vain,
The loner sang, "Alone I come, alone I go..."
All his life, he only wished to be loved
By everyone he liked, adored and cared.
With a tired heart, but a little hope in the eyes,
The loner asked, "Alone I come, will, alone I go?"
-
Her eyes, bright like a glowing star,
Her sound, sweet like fine nectar.
Her touch, soft like a feather of dove,
Her heart, pure like a mother's love.
She looked beautiful, like the fairy from a tale,
But my favourite, is her wagging tail.-
The ocean of love.
Am I even,
A little drop to you?
For me, you were
The ray of hope.
Am I even,
A tiny photon to you?
For me, you were
The sea and the land.
Am I even,
A grain of sand to you?
For me, you were
My whole life and beyond.
Am I even,
A nanosecond to you?-
Thirteen I was, when she first came
In a winter's breeze, as a cold flame.
The mist, the road and the snow would gather
Every morning, to see us together.
Spot, never I could, for she is very little
Her impact on me, was faint and tittle.
But with the time she grew, just as I did
With the pride of possession, a smile she hid.
Twenty I am, and she is still here
In the worst of the times, sorrow and fear.
Reminding I'm not alone, giving me energy
For she's not a cloud, but the sky, an allergy.-
