BRUISES AND WARMTH

The last rain of autumn left me aching to be wet again,
Washing away all the embers that shot up to burn me alive
Is it the longing for warmth ?
Maybe it's the onset of winter that's playing my mind.
A vague memory,
when life was all warm and sunny
An icecream could fill my heart up
I miss it.
It was all so simple and serene
Bruises and chocolates were all that lost.
It was beautiful while it lasted.
Yet I'm still Aching for warmth.

Flowers across time

The paradoxes that force the life out of us
Through summer and winter we stood still
Until the petals started withering away
humour of life and death played across time,
Until the weight of blossom
Drowned us together.
