The Unwritten Syllabus of Life
(Caption)-
The windows rattled,
The air swung to and fro,
The maiden sat awaiting,
Unwilling to let go.
-
Between Sea and Self
Out from the depths, you rise,
So distant, yet achingly near.
The white orb fades to an orange glow,
I stand, a shadow on life’s shore.
A wind sweeps up the waiting waves,
There is turmoil in the hush.
The sea and land, face to face,
I stand, a shadow on life’s shore.
I breathe, and time takes flight,
Its wings, silent and mysterious.
I clutch, but all is air.
I rise, realise… and repair.
-
A mound of emotions piles up,
Scooped from the soul’s deep core.
There'll come a breeze
And stir the air once more.
Let's not wait for the overflow,
The burst is all but sure.
Life is a fleeting dream;
Guard your happiness, keep your heart pure.-
Love and respect your physical self.
That's the only thing you own.-
