I couldn't quite feel that quote
Infact, it appeared incorrect at core
"Failures are Pillars of Success"
Are they really, I used to wonder
Now that I've been through a few
Winding corridors of time and pace,
I know that one above is as true as it can get.
As gleaming milestones dot my way,
Here I am, and I want to say,
I've accumulated some strong pillars,
Of unforgettable yet unknown metal,
Reminding me of my process and progress,
And gracefully carry the enormous weight
Of my very own castle of success.-

How I wished to be one from his world
With all coincidences drawing me closer
How I wish I could forget the days
When we still were together
For it pains me to know that
All the serendipity doesn't count as destiny.-
Questioning if it was really love
Or just a mesmerising mirage I wove
To retreat into, and lock up myself
In that one warm embrace
Far away from my colossal realities
Far away from the world I seem to detest,
For even if he'd spread his arms
Here, I'd have to choose
To not go ahead.-
Regaining the freedom to express
And experience all that's cynical
With a knowing smile veiled beneath
While the eyes speak of utter innocence,
For there are not too many who can
Read between the erased lines.-
How far is the blue of seas from the blues of sky?
Just as distant as my muse and the poems I write.-
On My Own Terms
I am a modern woman,
I love gems and jewels,
And all that's pretty and traditional
I am a free person
Who loves to dress in skirts
And dresses and gowns and kurtas
And jeans when I feel like,
All the same, for trousers aren't my flags
Of liberty from the old, I detest orthodoxy
And own up to my culture
My ancestors made for me.
Nor my dress up, nor my hairdo
It's my thinking that's my reality
And I think it's not for me
To run after tacky trends
For it's my very own and only my life,
That I live on my own terms.-
I always liked headphones
Wonder when I wanted to possess it?
When I saw it round your nape all day
And night, on winter festival days
The white wireless thingy glowing up
In a mix of red and blue
Complimenting the flowing rhythm
And tunes about themselves.
A trivial article for that musician,
I had to wait an entire year for,
Is now the companion to my lonely days
And solitary nighttime solitude.-
I waited a lifetime
For him to come back home
Knowing well, he was a vagrant who roams
All those faraway worldly corridors.-
You come, say hello to me at night
And I struggle not to forget you
The very next morning,
Sometimes, I wish to capture you
In the colossal castle that belongs to me,
Just like you in my dreams.-
