People are dying.
Some due to the virus, some due to starvation.
People are dying.
Some in the hospitals, some on the roads.
People are dying.
Some not by their choice, some by their choice.
The rich are dying, the poor are dying.
But the bottom line is 'people' are dying.

We all want someone who
listens to our unheard voice,
answers unasked questions,
knows untold stories,
replies to untyped texts and
understands unspoken feelings.

We drown in each other's sorrows
and
rise in each other's happiness.

You are the pole star I look for every night in the infinity of the sky.

And just like forever, you always be there; come what may!

People are the exact opposite of what they show to be.

The Bougainville climbed up the stanchion,
Giving pretty flowers on its way up,
Covering the verandah with its plush expanse.
World appreciated the Bougainville's beauty but the Bougainville knew,
She would cripple down in a moment if the stanchion disappeared.

A tale just like us; I being the Bougainville and you; the stanchion.

We did not sweat day and night to be killed by a militant.
We did not want to die without going to the battlefield.
We did not want our families to hold candles for us,
We wanted them to hold our medals.

Avenge us, our fellow brothers!
Our souls will protect you as long as they reverberate in the valleys of Kashmir.
