When day with you is done
There's a time of everyday for me,
I wish would never come.
The time I know, the time I've spent,
With you is finally done.
When ere it comes my sinking heart,
Can find no solaced peace.
It's only wish is to stay with you,
And force the clock to cease.
Yet unrelenting time treks on,
No quarter concede.
No matter how much I wish for it,
Or prayfully I plead.
The moment comes when we must part,
And parting parts my soul.
And parted feels my every part,
Till we again are whole.
This dying's only grace is knowing,
That it is but brief.
That soon I'll be again with you,
The sweetest relief.
So till you are beside me,
And we know we've finally won.
I'll face this daily heartbreak,
When day with you is done.
