Who is this invincible
And where does she come from?
Invincible was once vincible
Vulnerable as any human would be
Crazy in love ..going after her dreams
Wearing her heart on her sleeves
Not knowing that hearts break too!
One fine day her heart met its fate
Turning vincible's world upside down
She sat alone with the pieces in her hands
Puzzled how could this be?
Waiting for answers that never came
Vincible grieved and grieved some more!
Until one day she felt a nudge
A finger poking the walls of her heart
Terrified she dared not look and ignored
The nudge turned into a voice
Asking her to let it out
Afraid she asked,"Who are you?"
The voice replied ," I am you."
How did you get in she enquired
The voice said ,"I was always inside
Residing in your very spine."
"Why do you want to come out now ?", Vincible asked
"I was waiting for an opening inside you to come out
Now that I see that hole in your chest
I am asking you to let me out" the voice replied
Fearful vincible helped her out
That day vincible was introduced to I
The power she had in her all along
They both merged and Invincible was born!
She still bleeds emotions but she is wiser
In total harmony they both live now!-
I thought giving was loving!
And I gave my all..relentlessly!
Overextending every inch of my soul
Just to comfort the ones I love
Only to end up being hurt
For never being enough!
Ouch! I clearly remember how that felt
And I thought something was terribly wrong with me
Why can I never be enough?
What more should I do?
What I need to change for them to like me?
Unaware I was always enough
I was always this magnificent creation
Pouring into the wrong hearts
The ones who never deserved me!
As I evolve on this journey of self-love
I know receiving is also love!
To know that you are worthy of
One's devotion..efforts towards you
Standing at par with the ones you love
Is love too!
So take pride in wanting to be loved
The way you love yourself!
The right ones will do that for you🦋

I promise..it would be quick!
No lousy cuts..
Leaving no way of coming back
It will be smooth!
For you would have made me rehearse it
For (n)number of times!
One go and it will be done!

As it will come after a million deaths

I asked God..why me?
He smiled and said,"As you don't know how special you are."
I asked God..why things have to go wrong?
He smiled and said,"To appreciate the right ones when they come along."
I asked God..why the wait has been so long?
He smiled..and said," For your fruits will be the sweetest and most ripe."
I asked why all the hurt..the pain..there must have been an easy way!
He answered," To shine one must endure the pain..through struggles comes glory!"
I asked God," I still don't know what's ahead."
He smiled..and replied," A warrior embraces the unknown..lives in the present and works for the best."
And then God said,"If I take away your difficulties..your strength..your newfound self-worth..they have to go too.So..tell me what should I do?"
And there I stood all speechless!🦋-
"What is the right time to walk away from a person?"
You ask!
And the old me is as clueless as you are!
For she thought walking away
Is as good as giving up on the ones you love!
So..she would hang on even harder
To the imbalanced relationships
And ultimately she had to take the fall!
Whereas the new me..which has learnt From the former's inevitable end
Would tell you that there is never going to be a right time!
As it more to do with how than when..
It is going to take you a million moments
When you feel that you have to
Lower your standards to fit in!
What you bring to the table
Is greater than what you get in return!
The loyalty is in question!
Respect is being compromised!
And this situation is stealing away your happiness!
And when all the bottled up hurt
Finally gives you the push
That will be the time to walk away!
And once you do don't look back
Just keep moving towards the bigger..
The better and the brightest!
As it is not about you giving up on them
But you refusing to give up on you!!🦋

I heard her on the phone
When you said I am having a cigarette!
It was not the cigarette but my heart
That you were smoking!
With each puff I died a little!
I could smell the smoke of your lies..
She called you "babe" and rest is dizzy!
Its the only thing that I remember
I pretended all was okay as it was easy!
Rather than accept that I was never enough
For the one I love so much!
Or may be there was never any love!
You hung up and all I did since that day
Was to hate that pack of cigarette of yours
And imagine her with you in your bed ..in your arms
I couldn't help it!
I waited everyday for you to tell me
That it was over between us!
But that day never came
And I watched you perform
An act not to be missed!
Would it have been easy
If you were man enough to tell me the truth
No! but atleast it would have shown that
I was deserving of truth if not your love!
I still hear that "babe"
A part of me is stuck there
It is time that I unstuck myself
And call her home..to me!
That is why I am letting you know

We all start somewhere!
But our starting point does not have to be the same!
Why? Because our story isn't same
Our journey isn't same..our make isn't same!
And our progress wouldn't be the same either!
One may start early..too early..late..too late!
And there is nothing called "too late" by the way!
One can start multiple times over!
Life is generous..full of chances!
You might take the first one and I might take the hundredth!
It all depends on you
And how willing are you to not be
Where you don't want to be!
As long as you are ready to take the chances
Chances will be given!
What's meant for you will be given to you

One of the most cliché statements I have heard!
They don't say it out loud
But in murmurs and gestures!
Their sarcastic eyes and smirks!
And I am like how do you know?
Who made you decide it for me?
It is my cup and my tea!
Ofcourse everybody's cup of tea
Is not going to be my cuppa!
So why not let me make one for myself
And concentrate on yours for a change!
Let me decide on the ingredients
The flavours..the spices!
How it is to be brewed
And taste it!
Either I will burn my tongue and learn
Or enjoy it!
But then how does that effect you?
After all it is my cup and my tea!🦋

The summer I turned pretty
Was like any other summer
Yet it felt different!
The sun I remember clearly
Rose from the east as usual
But it felt warmer!
The sunflowers were in full bloom
As they should be!
But they seemed happy
As if they have found a direction!
The hummingbirds hummed the same tune!
But my feet felt lighter whilst dancing to it
Colorful butterflies on my windowsill
But I felt the flutter in my stomach!
Everything was same
Yet so distinctive!
May be because my vision changed!
Searching beauty outside of me
My eyes for the very first time
Saw beyond the veil of expectations
The glorious miracle standing in the mirror
And that is the summer I turned pretty!🦋-
