shaped from dust and lit by a spark we don't own.
All that we chase...fame, power, pride

दीवारें अब भी खड़ी हैं,
पर अब ईंट-पत्थर की नहीं — सोच की ।
हम एक जैसे दिखते हैं, हँसते हैं, रोते हैं,
पर भीतर हमारी पहचान अलग कर दी गई है।
कोई जात से, कोई धर्म से, कोई लहज़े से कमतर समझा जाता है।
और यही फर्क़ हमें इंसान से भी छोटा बना देता है।

बचपन ने हमें सिखाया कि सब बराबर हैं,
पर बड़े होकर सीखा — रिश्ते भी धर्म पूछते हैं।
शादी, दोस्ती, यहाँ तक कि नौकरी भी
नाम और कुल पूछकर दी जाती है।
इतना कुछ बदला है इस दुनिया में,
सिर्फ इंसान की नज़र नहीं बदली।
