ಕವಿತೆಗಳಲಿ ಅರಳಿದಳು,
ಕಾವ್ಯ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆ;
ಶಿಲ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿದಳು,
ಶಿಲ್ಪ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆ;
ಕವಿ-ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯ,
ಕಲೆಯ ಆಟಕ್ಕೆ,
ನೇಸರ ಮರೆಯಾದಂತೆ,
ಶಶಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದುಕುಳಿತಂತೆ;
ಶಶಿಗೆ ಮೋಡ ಮುಸುಕಿದಾಗೆ,
ಕತ್ತಲಲಿ ಬಂದಿಯಾದಳು ಆಕೆ,
ಒಲವಿನಾಕೆ, ಅವಳು ನನ್ನಾಕೆ.

ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಗ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನ,
ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮೊಸರನ್ನ;
ಎರಡೂ ಅ(ನ್ನ)ಮೃತವೇ,
ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದರೂ ಸುರಿಯಬೇಕು,
ಪರಮಾನ್ಹ (ಪರಮ ಅನ್ನ);
ಅನ್ನವೇ ನೀನು,
ನೀನೇ ಅನ್ನವೂ;
ನಿನ್ನ ನೀ ತಿಂದು ಬದುಕುವುದು,
ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸುವುದು.
ಓದಿನ ಹಸಿವಿದ್ದರೆ,
ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳೇ ಪರಮ್ಹಾಹ್ನ.

ನಗು ವಾರವಾಗಿರೆ,
